Fly HM get!! So a tiny little Taillow is going to carry Wobbette and Brendan...
The reason for this detour to Rustboro is, of course, to pick up the Exp Share. Wobbert needs some help.
I decide to fight some of the trainers along Routes 119 and 120 for cash, and to get Wobbert some much-needed EXP. It's high time I added a second wob to my arsenal. Parasol Lady Clarissa's Wailmer and Roselia puts Wobbert onto level 10.
A few battles later, a Bird Trainer's Swellow meets the mighty Encore...
And Wobbert reaches level 15. Which means, of course...
*snif* They grow up so fast...
Wobbert's new (and strangely familiar) moveset: Safeguard, Encore, Counter, Mirror Coat. It'll be a while yet before he's strong enough to fight, though.
This trainer deserves a mention. Manectric opened with Thunder - and paralyzed Wobbette. Ironically the first move I'd selected was Safeguard. Wobbette then proceeds to be "fully paralyzed" for the next three Thunders, Mirror Coats the fourth one with almost no HP, and OHKOs him.
This trainer has a Sableye. Since it's Dark/Ghost it's immune to wob, and Sneasel's attacks are Normal type at the moment. I shall sneak quietly past.
Landmark level for Wobbert, vs Dustox. (If you're wondering where Wobbette is, she's level 37 so I'm giving her a rest)
Sneasel evilness. Seviper wanted desperately to Glare, but Darkie kept Taunting it and then using Return on the off turn. I learned that from Colosseum :)
There's ghosts coming up, and I'm fielding two wobs and a Sneasel who only knows Normal-type moves. Decided to use up my Aerial Ace TM - hey, at least it'll hit.
Needed a new HM slave (I'd actually got this far in the game without Cut or Strength). I think I'll call him Arthur.
Made my way up Mt. Pyre without incident. I'm not going to bother about the incense yet.
Team Aqua attacks! Bloody hell, Carvanhas are crap even at level 32. OHKOed with Aerial Ace.
